01 — Overview

Pacific Place is a premium real estate agency requiring a sophisticated digital presence that reflects their high-end property portfolio and attracts discerning buyers and sellers in the competitive London market.

02 — The Challenge

The client needed a platform that could showcase luxury properties with immersive visual experiences, while providing powerful search and filtering capabilities. The system also needed to handle sensitive client data and streamline the property viewing booking process.

03 — Research

I studied competitor platforms like Rightmove, Zoopla, and luxury estate agents. I interviewed 8 property buyers and 3 agents to understand the decision-making process. Key findings: buyers prioritise high-quality images, location data, and easy viewing scheduling over price comparison tools.

04 — UX Process

I designed a multi-criteria search system with map integration, created property detail pages with gallery-first layouts, and built a client portal for saved searches and viewing bookings. Wireframes evolved through 3 major iterations based on stakeholder feedback.

05 — UI Design

The design emphasises visual storytelling with large property imagery, clean typography, and a muted colour palette that conveys luxury and trust. Interactive maps, image galleries, and smooth animations create an immersive browsing experience.

06 — Testing & Iteration

A/B testing with 200 users showed the gallery-first property layout increased time-on-page by 40%. The simplified booking flow reduced abandonment from 65% to 25%. Mobile responsiveness testing across 12 devices ensured consistent experience.

07 — Final Solution

An elegant, responsive platform featuring advanced property search with multi-criteria filtering, interactive maps, high-resolution image galleries, a secure client portal, and a streamlined viewing booking system.

08 — Outcome

45% increase in property enquiries. Average session duration increased by 3 minutes. Viewing bookings increased by 60% through online portal. Mobile traffic grew by 70% with responsive design.

09 — What I Learned

I learned that luxury real estate UX is about emotion, not just function. Every interaction needs to feel premium — from the page transitions to the loading states. Small details like image aspect ratios and typography choices significantly impact perceived value.
